Negotium Agon 2017

This business fest was held on 22 July 2017 in the Sir Kirby Laing Auditorium.

Wynberg-Allen School, Mussoorie hosted the 4th Inter School Business Festival ‘NEGOTIUM AGON’ in the Sir Kirby Laing Auditorium. The Guests of Honour on the occasion were Mr. Kartik Taneja, Head of Channel Sales, and Google India. The judges on the occasion were Mr. Ajay Sethi, an alumni and COO, Pantal Stationery India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Kunwarjeet Singh, an entrepreneur and alumni and Ms Annanya Shinde, Project Manager, International Finance Olympiad.

This year’s competition was organized in four categories, namely Business Quiz, Apogee, Rana Avis and Consilium. Around twenty schools from all over the country participated in this year’s competition. In the Business Quiz, based on the preliminary written round, four schools qualified for the final round. The finalists were CJM Hampton Court, Mussoorie, La Martiniere Boy’s College, Lucknow, Lotus Valley International School, Noida and Unison World School, Dehradun.

Tushar Chaubey and Shubhankar Mittal of La Martiniere Boy’s College, Lucknow were declared winners in the Business quiz competition while the team from Lotus Valley International School, Noida stood as 1st runners up.

In the ‘Apogee’ event, Apurva Goyal and Manshvivi of the Welham Boy’s School, Dehradun stood as winners and   the team from the La Martiniere Girl’s College, Kolkata stood as 1st runners up.

In the “Consilium” event, Sanam Singh of Lotus Valley International School, Noida stood as winners. The school also won the ‘Rara Avis’ event. The award for the most promising team went to La Martiniere Girl’s College, Kolkota.

Wynberg-Allen participated but being the host school kept them out of the competition. The prizes for the events were sponsored by Mr. Amit Jaiswal, Mr. Dhruv Taneja of Google India, Mr. Ajay Sethi, Anand Prakash and Mr.  Ramit Aggarwal. The Chief Guest Dhruv Taneja gave away the prizes and addressed the gathering. The trophy for the overall winners went to Unison World School, Dehradun.                .

 Principal, Mr. L. Tindale thanked the organizing committee Mr Roy Chowdhury, Sakshi, Vidisha and Abhinav. He also thanked the visiting schools for their enthusiastic participation in the business festival.
