Admissions, where vacancies exist, are made on the basis
of an entrance examination/interview. Those children
who are registered will be notified of the date of the
examination. After examining the child, the Principal
reserves the right to admit the child into the class
deemed suitable for him/her.
Preference in admission is given to boarders who qualify.
Registration
may be closed at any time at the discretion of the Principal.
Normally the last date for registration for day scholars
is 15 September and for boarders 30 September.

after admission has been confirmed, full school fees
for the year will be charged.
|
|
|
|
v.
|
For
a child who has been to school previously and is attending
this school for the first time,
a Transfer Certificate from the previous School must
be furnished before joining School. For those
coming from outside Uttranchal, the Transfer Certificate must
be countersigned by the appropriate education authority
of the State concerned. Since no change can be made
in the age once it is entered in the Admission Register,
a certified copy of the Birth Certificate is also to
be submitted in each case.
The date of birth once entered in the Admission Register
will NOT be altered under any circumstances. On withdrawal,
a Transfer Certificate will be issued if due notice
has been given and all fees have been paid according

|
|
vi.
|
The
Principal reserves the right to accept or reject any

|
|
|
|
vii.
|
Admission
to Wynberg-Allen School is a privilege and not a right.
|
|
|
|
viii.
|
Recommendations for admission from any source will disqualify
a prospective candidate. Parents are, therefore, advised
to approach the Principal's Office personally for admission
and not through any other person or persons.
|
|
|
Payments
Of Fees |
|
|
|
i. |
it is expected that the total fees for the
year be fully paid in advance at the time of admission/
begining of the School Year. Students for whom fees have
not been paid in full will not be permitted to join the
school or continue on the rolls of the School. |
|
|
|
ii. |
The Final Bill/ Statement of Account will
be sent in December each year. |
|
|
|
iii. |
All payments must be made by the due date
specified from time to time. Anyone not clearing arrears
within the stipulated time will be required to pay a
surcharge of 10% of the bill applicable. No application
for remission of the surcharge will be considered. |
|
|
|
iv. |
Names of children whose fees are in arrears
will be struck off the rolls and transfer certificated
will not be issued until all outstanding amounts are
cleared. Children for whom fees have not been paid up-to-date
may be prevented from taking school or public
examinations. |
|
|
|
v. |
If for any reason a bill is not received by
parents, it will not be accepted as reason for withholding
payment of fees. Fees can always be sent pending receipt
of the bill. In the same way any dispute with regard to a
bill sent will not be held as sufficient ground to excuse
the withholding of the regular dues. The exact amount of a
bill should be paid in every case. |
|
|
|
vi. |
Pupils for whom places have been reserved
but who return or join after the notified day of opening or
who return late after exeats will in no case be entitled
to remission of fees. Further, a late fee as applicable
will be imposed per day. Joining School late results in
general hindrance to the work and discipline of the
school. |
|
|
|
vii. |
a. Full fees will be charged to students who
are withdrawn during the school year. No remission in fees
will be made for a child withdrawn during the course of a
year or who is absent with or without permission for any
reason. |
|
|
| |
b. Notice of withdrawal of a child which is to
take effect at the end of the school year must be received
by November 15 of that year. Failure to comply with this
rule will entail a liability in payment of fees in lieu of
notice which will be equivalent to the Security Deposit
applicable. Since places vacated during the school year
mean a financial loss, this rule will be strictly enforced
in all cases. |
|
|
| |
c. In case the child is withdrawn during the
year, the final settlement of account including the
Security Deposit will only be made one month after
withdrawal of the child from the school, except in the
case of students who have appeared for Board Examinations
where the account will be closed one month after the
results have been declared. |
|
|
|
viii. |
Cost of replacement will
be charged for breakages, damages and losses. |
|
|
|
ix. |
All payments must be
made by cash or Bank Draft drawn in favour of the
Principal, Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie, payable in
Mussoorie. No responsibility is accepted for drafts sent
in children's letters. In a covering letter, the parents
must always quote the child's Account Number. Cheques in
no case will be entertained. |
|
|
|
x. |
The
fees payable are subject to change from time to time.
Parents will, however, be informed of any change in fees. |

|
c. Children must have their teeth and eyes examined

|
|
Spiritual Policy
The Society, by foundation, tradition and
endowment, is essentially spiritual in character. It
is the Society's intention that in Wynberg and in Allen,
all children of the Christian Community should, by worship
and instruction, be led to a personal knowledge of Jesus
Christ as Saviour and be built up in the Christian faith,
witness and service. The same privileges may be availed
of by other students, if they so choose.
The
school work begins daily with prayer and with the reading
of a portion of the Bible. On Sundays, Christian boarders
attend a worship programme at the Union Church and all
other boarders attend a worship programme at the school.
The worship programme is an integral part of the school
life.
|
|
|
|
Visiting School |
| |
|
| i. |
All
parents and authorized guardians will first see the
Principal when visiting the school. The only exception
to this is during the regular visiting hours on Saturdays
and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., as indicated in the
School Calendar.
|
| |
|
| ii.
|
Parents are not permitted to visit their children outside
of the visiting hours. For holidays, when children are
permitted out on exeat, parents who wish to take their
children out of school must submit their request for
this in writing, so that it reaches the Principal at
least seven days in advance.
|
| |
|
Holidays & Visiting Arrangements
|
|
At
the beginning of each year, a copy of the School Calendar
is sent to the parents. This includes holidays and indicates
when children are allowed out of School. For the efficient
running of work, not only in the classroom but in all
extra mural activities, children will not be allowed
out except at recognised times. Parents will save embarrassment
to the Principal and disappointment to themselves by
not asking for exceptions to these recognised holidays.
Leave to attend weddings and other functions at home
is not normally granted. Children are also not permitted on exeat
for every holiday but only where this is indicated in
the School Calendar.
|
| |
|
| Important |
| |
|
|
i.
|
Official correspondence of all kind MUST be addressed
directly to the Principal and not to other members of
staff or sent in children's letters; otherwise attention
is not guaranteed. Parents are not permitted to enter
into correspondence with other members of staff.
|
|
|
| ii. |
Day scholars
are admitted on the distinct understanding that they
will take part in the same co-curricular activities
as the boarders.
|
| |
|
| iii. |
The Principal can, in the interests of the school and
without assigning any reason, ask a parent to remove
a girl / boy during the School Year or at the end of
the current term, should the girl's / boy's conduct,
behaviour or influence, in the Principal's opinion,
be in any way detrimental to the principles of the School,
or should she / he seem unable or unwilling to profit
by the educational advantages the school offers.
|
| |
|
| iv. |
The staff will at all times do their utmost for the
education, physical well-being and spiritual, moral
and cultural development of the children entrusted to
them. In return, the school expects the total co-operation
of parents in the letter and spirit of the Prospectus.
|
| |
|
| v. |
The
Principal is at liberty to alter, add to or repeal any
regulation given in the Prospectus, without assigning
